GALLERY / FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

Indiana

Indiana boasts a noteworthy collection of Frank Lloyd Wright-designs, all private homes when original built.

Among these is the John and Catherine Christian House (1954), commonly known as Samara, located in West Lafayette. Samara stands as one of Wright's most complete Usonian homes. Other significant works include the DeRhodes House in South Bend (1906), a Prairie-style residence, the Armstrong House in Ogden Dunes(1939), an early Usonian, and the Dr. and Mrs. Richardson Davis House (1950), also known as Woodside, in Marion, which was adapted from an earlier unbuilt Lake Tahoe project.

These homes exemplify Wright's commitment to integrating architecture with its environment, offering a glimpse into his enduring influence on American design.
