Arizona Layover
Oré Solo Show
Description:
A solo exhibition by French street artist Oré, currently based in the Garfield Neighborhood, Phoenix.
For his US debut, Oré presents a body of stencil-based paintings reflecting his perspective on life in Arizona—shaped by everyday observations, desert landscapes, and cultural intersections across the state.
A second group of works draws from his travels around the world. His recurring figure, Quetzalcoatl, serves as a personal emblem, linking experiences from Mexico to Europe and Asia, and creating a dialogue between place, memory, and movement.
Specifically, Arizona Layover reveals the role of photography in Oré's creative process. His own photographs become the basis for the hand-cut stencils used in his paintings, while photographic documentation extends the life of his murals and artworks beyond the street.
