Join us at BRILL Gallery & Studio for a juried exhibition celebrating one of Arizona’s most dramatic natural phenomena—the summer monsoon.

Featuring the work of talented local photographers, the exhibition showcases striking photographs and time-lapse videos capturing the season’s incredible range of weather, from towering dust storms and flash floods to powerful lightning displays and sweeping desert skies.

Discover the stories behind the images and hear firsthand from the photographers who venture into the field to document these fleeting moments. Through their lenses, experience the beauty, intensity, and ever-changing character of Arizona’s monsoon season.

Opening Night(s):

• Friday, September 18th, 2026, 6-10pm (Third Friday)

• Saturday, September 19th, 2026, 6-10pm

Closing Night:

• Friday, October 16th, 2026, 6-10pm

Arizona Monsoon Photography Prints to be displayed and sold in the BRILL Gallery & Studio and time-lapse videos to be projected on an outdoor screen on opening and closing nights.

Photography - Finished size to be no larger than 30x40. Finished size is the outside dimensions of your piece.

Timelapse Videos - Finished video will be in 1080p or 720p format.

This show is open to all Arizona based photographer’s both amateur and professional. Images and/or timelapse videos must be taken in Arizona during the Monsoon season running June 15th to September 30th of any year.

By entering our Arizona call to photographers and videographers you are agreeing to be added to the Brill Gallery & Studio email list for forthcoming artist opportunities. By submitting images and or videos, you agree that the images and or video are your own work, you own all rights to the images and or videos, and you take full responsibility for the content, including the likeness of recognizable individuals. The actual artwork will remain the property of the artist.

Our mission is to promote artists and their work. Should your work be selected, you grant The Brill Gallery & Studio the right to display your image and/or video on our website, on social media, and where appropriate to help promote the Monsoon Show. The Brill Gallery & Studio will always credit the artist wherever feasible. We will not use your image for any other purpose without the artist’s permission.

The Brill Gallery & Studio will take a 25% commission on all sales, 75% goes to the photographer. The gallery percentage goes to help promote the Monsoon Show, refreshments, insurance and general maintenance of the space and website.

Sold prints must remain in the gallery through the duration of the show. Artists can supply a replacement image for the gallery if needed.

Artists decide pricing on their photographs, the gallery would then collect 25% of that price, when payment is collected. If the artist prefers, the print does not have to be for sale.

For each image and or time-lapse video selected by the jury to be included in the show, a $45 payment is required at time of selection.

Deadline to submit is August 7th, 2026.

Complete all requests on submission form, Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Selected Artist and work will be notified by email no later than August 14th, 2026. Entry fee will be taken at that time.

Photography Prints – Selected artists will then be responsible for dropping off the finished, WIRED and ready to be hung photography print to the gallery by September 11th. We are proud to be partnering up again with Phx Photo Lab so if you need a local print shop we have arranged a special code to get you discounted rates on printing. That code will be provided to you if your image is selected. You are also welcome to use your own print shop.

Timelapse Videos – Selected artists will then be responsible for providing full resolution (up to 1080p) video to the gallery by email by Sept 11th, 2026. Email will be provided at time of selection.

Additional requirements - Selected artists will be responsible for providing an audio recording to be done in the gallery by September 11th. This can be completed when you drop of your photography. These recordings and portraits will be presented alongside your photography using a QR code.
